This piece was inspired by the photography of Lara Hartley.
A once thriving Motel, now an empty plot where it once stood.

Post pro work was a colour correction layer and a yellow grunge layer, to give it that "Sunny State" feel.


10 points to whoever spots the "house of 1000 corpses" / "Captin Spaulding" reference


I will also point out that this is not the final image, this was a test... I have since moved the lower right grass further to the camera, so you cant see the base of it.


This piece was basically a test, I have animated the car driving into the scene, and also animated the grass flowing in the wind, which will eventually be part of my new showreel (im also trying my hand at some character animation )
